Chapter 180: Happy Chatting
Chapter 180: Happy Chatting
Rita Skeeter wrote again, saying that Dumbledore did not allow her to come to Hogwarts. Fudge was angry because he could not change this and wanted to break some news about him.
At this point Skeeter mentioned the matter of Ludo Bagman and wrote to ask her opinion on it.
Draco also saw the letter. "Fudge is really endless. Although I don't like Dumbledore, I must admit that the headmaster's reputation cannot be tarnished."
"I'll write back and ask Skeeter to publish this report. Anyway, Fudge will be there in person for the third project, so it doesn't matter whether Bagman is there or not."
Skeeter was quite clever, and told Fudge that Dumbledore might have guessed something, which was why he didn't let her enter the school and gave the news about Bagman. By the way, he could also replace the Director of the Sports Department with one with a better reputation.
Even though the news of Bagman's deception had not spread widely, some people had already started sending letters of complaint to the Ministry of Magic.
"Lori, you will soon learn the content of the third project." Draco held her in his arms and whispered, "Stay away from that Potter then."
Gloria never hid anything from him and told him a lot of things she knew, so Draco knew that someone was hiding in Hogwarts.
She leaned into the boy's arms, "Draco, that's what I have to face. As a Slytherin, I can't escape. Escape means fear, and I can't be afraid of him."
"I know you are not afraid of him, but he is very strong. He is known as the most powerful dark wizard in the wizarding world in the past two hundred years."
Gloria looked up at him, "I will be the most powerful wizard in the future. Of course, this will take time, but I will be fine against any dark wizard. Have you forgotten the snakes in my house? They will protect me."
Draco was well aware of the abilities of the three snakes, "But...can't they deal with that man?"
In order to prevent the descendants of Slytherin from driving the three snakes to kill each other due to fighting for power, an irresistible ban was set up.
"They can't deal with it." Gloria said slowly, "But they can passively protect me from being killed by black magic spells. This doesn't count as an attack."
Draco breathed a sigh of relief, "Great, I must bring them with me to the competition!"
Gloria nodded, "I'll find a chance."
After the chat, she wrote a reply to Skeeter and went to the Owl Shed to find Amy.
On the way back to the lounge, I met Professor Moody.
This was the first time Gloria had met him alone since the incident at the beginning of the school year.
"Professor Moody," she greeted.
"Miss Slytherin." Moody grinned, his hands resting on his cane. "There is only one match left. How are you preparing?"
The question sounded as if he had a very good relationship with Gloria.
"Not bad." She said, "How is Professor Moody? I heard that Harry met you at night. Do you often have trouble sleeping at night?"
"Haha..." Moody said with a wry smile, "Although I have lived in Hogwarts for a while, I am still not used to it. I have to be on the alert all the time to see if anyone sneaks in here to kill me."
Gloria nodded slowly, "You really should ask Madam Pomfrey for a sleeping potion."
"I won't drink that stuff, lest I get killed in my sleep!"
"Who can sneak into Hogwarts? This is the safest place in the British wizarding world."
Ever since she came to this school, Gloria often heard people comment on Hogwarts in this way. Whether it was during the time of Grindelwald or when Voldemort was rampant thirteen years ago, Hogwarts was not affected much.
Professor Moody licked his lips and said, "It's hard to say. Maybe someone sneaked in openly."
Gloria's eyes slowly fell on the curved wine bottle tied around her waist, "So you've been drinking to help you sleep."
Professor Moody turned sideways, "I have something else to do so I'll leave now. It's been a pleasure talking to you, Miss Slytherin."
Gloria gave way and said, "Please——"
She looked at Professor Moody's limping back and it took her a while before she left.

The auditorium was very lively on Monday, and Skeeter had indeed made a big fuss about Bagman's money scam.
All the students were looking at the Daily Prophet and talking about it.
[Our reporter Rita Skeeter, after months of lengthy investigation, has uncovered the shocking deception of Ludo Bagman, Director of the Ministry of Magic's Sports Department!]
The first paragraph is quite intriguing, especially since it's about a Ministry official.
Draco smiled and pointed to one of the lines to Gloria, "Look - this paragraph."
[According to insiders, Bagman deceived people including students from Hogwarts.]
"Those two poor red-haired guys from the Weasley family." Draco immediately understood who the students the newspaper was talking about were.
"It's been a long time." Gloria said, "Luckily they are in the same box with us."
Otherwise you will lose all your money.
The Malfoys' eagle owl appeared, gliding onto the table and extending its legs with a letter tied to them.
Draco untied it and looked. Gloria rested her chin on his shoulder and saw clearly that the letter was from Lucius.
"The Ministry of Magic has received many letters of complaint, and Bagman has been blocked at the Ministry..."
Gloria read out the contents of the letter in a low voice. There was a photo behind the letter. In the photo, Bagman was blocked in the hall, and a group of people were yelling at him angrily. Even though the photo could not convey the sound, one could tell how angry these people were by looking at their distorted expressions.
Draco said, "Father said that the director of the Sports Department is going to be replaced. Fudge just announced his decision on how to deal with this matter and will remove Bagman from his position."
"Did anyone say that the new director will come to the school?" Gloria asked, looking at the photo.
"No." Draco shook his head. "I haven't even picked out the right person yet, but I gave you a few spots. They're all people I've met before."
Gloria took the letter and gave the photo to Draco.
Although the Sports Department has no influence on the power of the Ministry of Magic, why give up the opportunity to arrange for someone to join?
"I'll choose one carefully."
After looking for a while, Gloria circled one of the names. Draco immediately picked up the pen, first wrote a reply to Lucius, and then wrote his name on the last line.
After the eagle owl finished eating the fresh meat, it stretched its legs and let someone tie the envelope.
Watching the owl fly away, Draco excitedly hugged Gloria sideways and whispered in her ear: "Lori, our control over the Ministry of Magic has deepened a little bit."
Even though it's just a little bit, it feels like they can choose the next director based on their will.
It’s really wonderful——!
Gloria knew that he loved power, and with only a few days left in the school year, he was already thinking about becoming a prefect.
"We will be in the fifth grade next year, and I will definitely be the prefect." Draco couldn't help but feel happy when he thought about it. "Then I can deduct credits from other colleges."
"Well..." Gloria followed his words: "Headmaster Dumbledore had no other choice."
Even if the principal intends to let other students be class leaders, who would dare to take the position?
Not to mention those below the fourth grade, even no one in the upper grades dared to go against them.
Gloria looked at the owls fluttering in and out and said, "I wonder if we can elect a new director of the Sports Department before the end of May."
She was very curious about what the last game was about.
