HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 257: End of the School Year Talk

Chapter 257: End of the School Year Talk

On the last day of school, the end-of-year party finally arrived and all the students were about to leave school.

The party was lively in previous years, but this year it was much quieter. There was no laughter and it was more serious than last year.

Everyone looked at Headmaster Dumbledore at the staff table, waiting to see what he would say.

Time passed little by little, and the principal finally stood up.

After standing on the stage for a while, he said, "I believe everyone has read the newspapers these days. Today I declare again that, yes, that person is back."

Only at this moment could the auditorium be filled with sounds of discussion, as if all the pent-up desire to express oneself had burst out at this moment.

The professors at the staff table have been looking serious these days.

The scene was so intense that Headmaster Dumbledore had to raise his hand to signal everyone to be quiet.

"I know that many people are afraid of him, but there are also people who choose to stand up and speak out, or even actively fight against him. For example, Gloria, Draco, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Luna, Ginny, Fred and George, they choose to fight against the Death Eaters themselves."

Dumbledore spoke their Christian names affectionately. The others were fine, but Neville had already lowered his head, the blush on his face spreading to his neck.

"The war has already begun, but it is silent at this stage. Whether it is the Ministry of Magic, or I and many wizards who insist on justice, we will stand up to fight."

These words restored silence to the auditorium.

"At Hogwarts, the professors and I will do everything we can to ensure your safety. I also hope that every student can be firm in their hearts and not be easily corrupted by darkness. There are very few people in the world with truly dark hearts. I know very well that you are not bad children, so please be safe during the holidays. I hope that when school starts in September, you can come back here to welcome the new school year and new students."

There was a burst of applause from the audience, and when Gloria clapped her hands, the other Slytherin students followed suit.

Ever since the Ministry of Magic announced that Voldemort had returned, the non-club student groups were torn apart, and the rifts and barriers between the colleges seemed to have disappeared overnight. There was no longer a clear 'dividing' line at the dining table, and everyone sat together.

"Finally..." Headmaster Dumbledore smiled and raised his index finger. "This year's House Cup belongs to the four houses. They fought against darkness, actively saved themselves, cared for their family and friends, and stood on the opposite side of evil... They are all good children."

The party was then announced to begin, and everyone's mood was obviously not as heavy as before.

Draco leaned close to Gloria's ear and said, "Principal, are you reminding some students in our college?"

"Not just Slytherin." Gloria said, "Perhaps there are students with ulterior motives in other houses. The house they are in cannot define the good and evil of each person. Who can guarantee that only Slytherin will produce dark wizards?"

But there is one house that is very special, Hufflepuff.

As far as Gloria could remember, in the British wizarding world, there seemed to be no dark wizards who came from this academy.

The students of this low-key and even unpopular college are very firm in their inner stance.

In her opinion, Hufflepuff is more righteous than Gryffindor, who is known for their bravery.

At the platform of Hogsmeade village, students boarded the express train in an orderly manner.

Gloria was walking towards the prefects' box when she saw Hermione.

"Leah, come sit here for a while."

Draco, who was following behind, frowned, but finally followed, after all, his girlfriend was taken away.

There were only three of them in the box.

"I thought your DA organization was going to get together." Gloria said as she sat down.

Draco came in and closed the door of the box.

As soon as I sat down, a box of chocolate frogs was handed to me.

"I'll treat you. Thank you for your help in the Department of Mysteries last time."

The person who handed the thing was Ron. No one else noticed that Draco had helped Ron in the last Battle of the Department of Mysteries.

Draco thought about the possibility of future cooperation, so he pinched the box between his slender fingers and took it.

He stopped eating this after he was three years old...

The door of the box was opened again, and the person who came in was Cedric, and next to him was his girlfriend Qiu Zhang.

"Would you like to talk for a minute?" Cedric asked.

"Uh-" Harry nodded, "Yeah, what's up?"

"It's alright. Since you guys want to talk, I'll do a patrol for the Slytherin prefect first."

"Thank you Cedric." Gloria thanked.

"Head Boy is there to help the students, and that includes the prefects," he said. "It's a shame I couldn't go with you to the Department of Mysteries last time."

Qiu Zhang patted his shoulder and said gently, "Let's go."

Cedric responded immediately, "Then you guys continue chatting, we'll be leaving first."

Gloria looked at Harry's reaction and it seemed that he had gotten over the failure of his secret love.

After making sure that no one else would come, Hermione said excitedly, "I heard that Fudge will be ordered to resign."

Gloria's first reaction was whether it was Mr. Weasley who told the children about the Ministry of Magic.

"Where did you get the news?"

As far as I can remember, the basic source of information these three people get about the Ministry of Magic is the Daily Prophet.

"There are those we know, and..." Hermione looked shy, "and Wicky, someone he knew mentioned something about the British Ministry of Magic, so he wrote to me and told me."

"Fudge must step down as Minister for allowing... You-Know-Who to build up power in the wizarding world for over a year."

Harry was shocked, "Leah, you can't even say Voldemort."

Ron shuddered. "That's a good thing."

"Because our dean reminded me not to mention this name all the time." Gloria repeated Professor Snape's words.

Draco said, "So it's best not to mention this name when you're at home."

The ones who were least shy were Harry and Hermione, but Ron didn't dare to say it out loud.

Hermione pursed her lips and said, "Then only talk about it at school from now on."

There is Headmaster Dumbledore and professors at school, but there is not such comprehensive protection at home.

Gloria said, "In a few days, you will see the news of Fudge's resignation in the newspapers. More accurately, the Ministry of Magic has already elected a new minister internally, and the result should be out soon."

Ron's eyes widened, "Really? Who is the new Minister?"

Draco curled his lips, "How can we know if we haven't chosen yet?"

"So what are your plans for the holiday?" Gloria said, "Don't ask us, we are very busy."

Hermione was the first to answer, "Bulgaria first, then normal foreign travel."

Ron scowled. "Ride a broom at home, or help Fred and George."

Finally, it was Harry's turn. "I'm at Aunt Petunia's house for now. Sirius will pick me up when the time comes. We agreed to visit the Burrow together."

When Gloria listened to these, she always felt a sense of calm before the storm.

"Hope everything goes well during the holidays," she said.

Ron was silent. Voldemort had returned, his father had a dual identity as a Ministry employee and a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and he had almost been bitten to death by a snake last time. Now...

But life has to go on, doesn't it?
