Chapter 325 Two New Teachers
Chapter 325 Two New Teachers
Hogwarts remained the same, seemingly unchanged.
Thousands of candles were burning in the Great Hall. Draco looked at students of his own age first. "Crabbe and Goyle are not here."
"They have already left the country," Gloria said. "After what happened last school year, they left the country the next day. They probably won't be attending magic school anymore."
Draco really didn't notice this.
Many people followed the two people with their eyes until they sat down.
There were two strangers sitting at the staff table.
Gloria and Draco recognized the transformed Grindelwald at a glance, an elegant old man.
The other was a very young woman, said to be a Muggle-born wizard who had graduated from Hufflepuff House at Hogwarts several years ago. She was talking to several professors and seemed very familiar with them.
"Fortunately, my mother has already gone abroad." Zabini was sitting next to Draco. "I read about your heroic deeds in the newspaper."
"Where did you hide during the summer vacation?" Draco asked. "If I remember correctly, it's very dangerous to leave the country now."
"He hid in the manor. Fortunately, he cast a lot of protective spells. Several Death Eaters appeared, but they couldn't get in." Zabini said this with no fear on his face. "Theodore's father came out, and he simply moved to my manor."
Theodore didn't react much to this and just flipped through the complicated spell book.
A group of young faces appeared, looking at the magical auditorium with surprise, and many freshmen looked up at the ceiling.
Although Professor McGonagall was officially the headmistress, she still held the Sorting Hat and read out the names of the new students.
The sorting was over and she stood in front of the stage.
"A new school year has begun. I am the new headmaster of Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall. I know that many students, like me, miss that wise old man..."
Some students had already started to wipe their tears, especially those from Gryffindor House.
Draco looked at Gloria, but was suppressed by her pinching his fingers. The truth was that Dumbledore was recuperating in Slytherin Manor, but people were mourning him here.
"Now is a critical moment. Hogwarts will continue to fight against darkness and teach you how to protect yourself. This year, the school will still be guarded by Aurors. After the afternoon classes, all students are not allowed to leave the castle. Prefects are required to follow the instructions of the two student union presidents at any time to assist in patrolling the castle and helping classmates."
Suddenly many eyes turned to Gloria and Draco. They already knew who would be the student president this year on the train.
It was quite unexpected that two Slytherins would become Chairpersons during this period.
Professor McGonagall stepped aside and pointed to the staff table. "Before you start your dinner, let me introduce two new teachers. First is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Brian Golden."
Grindelwald stood up, and even in his old age he could be seen to have been a handsome wizard in his youth.
Applause broke out in the auditorium.
"The professor of Muggle Studies - Roy Linton."
The black-haired, brown-eyed woman stood up and smiled shyly.
Professor Sprout was particularly happy, and the Hufflepuffs applauded the loudest.
After the formal introductions, the opening party began.
"Draco, my mother saw your parents in Germany." Zabini smiled, then lowered his voice, "We have all joined the Magical Alliance. I heard that Grindelwald has something to do and will not be able to show up for the time being. It is your father and two assistants who are holding the meeting."
"Congratulations." Draco thought Zabini should celebrate.
"When will the meeting be held in the UK?" Theodore, who had been silent, spoke up. "I want to join, too."
He knew clearly that his father did not want him to join the Death Eaters, and the New World was a good place.
"Maybe after we graduate." Gloria said, "Don't worry, your follower quota has been decided."
Draco added, "The Slytherin Club is the equivalent of the Wizarding League."

In the seventh grade, students will take NEWTs, which will determine which related careers they can choose in the future.
Fortunately, starting from the sixth grade, everyone has become accustomed to massive amounts of homework.
There is Potions class in the morning, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class that everyone is looking forward to is in the afternoon.
Perhaps because the school has protective magic and is guarded by Aurors, Slughorn feels quite comfortable here.
"Today we are learning a more difficult potion - the Freshman Potion. Does anyone know what it does?"
Hermione raised her hand immediately, she was still so enthusiastic.
"The regeneration potion can regrow missing organs, but it cannot restore organs damaged by powerful black magic."
For example, Mad-Eye's eyes and legs were damaged by powerful black magic, so he could only use prosthetic eyes and limbs. The same goes for George's ears.
If Gloria hadn't helped, George would have been missing an ear.
"That's right!" Slughorn nodded with a smile, "Ten points for Gryffindor."
He continued to explain, "The preparation of the Regeneration Potion is complicated. If you are injured accidentally and your limbs are broken, you can take it and they will grow back. It will be more effective if you take it together with the Bone Regeneration Spirit."
Draco deliberately glanced at Harry's book, which was a new book he bought from Flourish and Blotts like them.
As Slughorn finished speaking, everyone began to look for materials.
"I wonder if Potter can still stand out without the help of old books." Draco looked like he was watching a good show.
"It should be able to pass." Gloria knew that Harry's level in potions was not very high, but as long as the steps were correct, he could brew a passing potion.
On that night in June, when Harry caught up with Snape, he probably found out who the Half-Blood Prince was.
Hermione told her that Harry hid the book in the Room of Requirement because the Strike Back spell was too dangerous and he was worried that it would be discovered by other students and used accidentally, something serious might happen.
Draco made improvements based on Snape's corrections and his own understanding of potions, and finally obtained a perfect potion.
Harry stared at the sticky yellow-brown potion in the crucible in front of him, like a pot of boiling earthy slime, and prayed in his heart that he could pass.
"Let me check your work." Slughorn was closest to Harry, turned his head and looked over, then froze, "Oh - the new school year must be very stressful, let me see..."
He scooped up a spoonful of potion with the silver spoon and sniffed it. "Hmm... it has the effect of making the skin, flesh and blood vessels grow rapidly. It's considered acceptable in my opinion."
Harry breathed a sigh of relief.
Gloria had already filled the potion and was handing it to Slughorn when he came over.
He raised the potion bottle, and pointed the fluorescent light of his wand at the bottle. "A very beautiful blue arc of light. Obviously this is a perfect potion. Fifteen points for Slytherin!"
Due to Snape's defection, Slughorn temporarily became Head of Slytherin.
Of course I am happy that the students I think highly of are still so outstanding.
As expected, Draco's potion was also perfect, adding ten points to the academy.
Although the other students' potions had different colors, they basically passed the test and just needed to improve the steps and details.
Perhaps it was because Harry's sixth-year Potions results were too good. After the class, many people were discussing the reasons for the decline in Harry's grades.
