Chapter 753: Can You Be a Bit Gentler?
Melody Thorne released the balloons from her hands, letting them float up into the sky.Though it was a bit childish, Jared Quinn still enjoyed it. It was clear he knew what day it was, so he pulled Melody close. "You think just this little surprise can win me over?"
Clearly, he wasn’t satisfied.
Where was his birthday gift?
In a place where neither of them could see, several hidden cameras focused on the balloons floating in the sky.
"I’ll give it to you when we get home," Melody said, her face blushing at the thought of the gift she prepared. "I promise you’ll be satisfied."
Jared raised his handsome eyebrows slightly, pulled her into his arms and switched positions with her, quickly heading back to the Quinn Family home.
In the bedroom, Melody bashfully took out the gift she had carefully prepared.
Jared unwrapped the ribbon with a mischievous curl of his lips, and when the gift was opened, his cold features froze for a moment.
"What’s wrong? You don’t like it?" Melody glanced down.
"Do you think I’d like these?" Jared’s deep voice held a subtle meaning.
"What else?" Melody pouted.
Jared snickered as he took the items out of the box: handcuffs, a small whip, and some other intimate products.
"You do know me well!"
Melody had summoned the courage to give them because she knew Jared couldn’t use them now, which is why she dared to give them. Yet seeing his gaze, Melody couldn’t help but take a step back and remind him, "You can’t use them now."
Jared circled around her and placed the items in the safe. "Such good stuff, of course, should be kept well and just used a few months later."
Melody "..."
The phone rang several times, and Melody wanted to answer, but Jared was quicker, taking her phone and turning it off. "I told you to rest at home today, why don’t you listen? Hmm?"
Jared held her, his body temperature slightly high, and couldn’t help but kiss the corner of her lips again.
"Mmm..."
"Dad, Dad," a small figure suddenly popped out from the cabinet.
Melody "..."
Jared’s handsome face darkened, releasing Melody and turning around. "Didn’t I tell you to knock before entering the room?"
"But I’ve been hiding here for an hour. How was I supposed to knock?" Timmy spread his little hands.
Jared "... From now on, don’t hide in there. Go back and sleep."
"Wait, Dad, I also prepared a surprise for you today," Timmy ran back to the cabinet and pulled out a drawing he had worked hard on. "Look, this is a picture I drew of you, and this one’s of Melody, and this one is me!"
Melody peered over and couldn’t help but giggle at what she saw.
Jared’s face grew even darker. In the picture Timmy drew, he and Melody were holding hands, sitting under a big tree looking at the stars and the moon, while he stood alone on the far side.
"Dad, do you like it?" Timmy asked with a smile.
"I like it," Jared said, taking the drawing from Timmy’s hands and pointing to the door. "Now go to bed."
Timmy "... Alright."
Timmy left the room.
"Can you be a little gentler with him?" Melody had already lain down on the big bed.
"No," Jared said, putting the drawing in the drawer.
Harold Chapman and the others called several times to invite Jared out, but he declined each time, wanting to stay at home with his young wife.
