Chapter 752 - 723: Love Across Parallel Worlds [045]
She whispered, "Could you bring my luggage bag over and leave it at the door?" After she said that, she quickly closed the door again. After a long wait of more than ten seconds, Simon Forrester knocked on the door, "I left your luggage bag at the door, you can take it when you have time."
"Oh, okay, thanks."
After saying that, she waited a while longer, and only when Simon Forrester went back to the living room did she open the door a crack again, crouch down, stretch out her arm, and bring the luggage bag inside in one swift motion.
...
Girls with long hair take a long time in the shower, at least half an hour, at most an hour. Sienna was the type who could take a whole hour.
After she finished showering and drying her hair, she came out feeling fresh, with the door still closed.
Had Simon Forrester been outside the whole time?
This silly guy.
She smiled knowingly, donned a long cardigan, swept her long hair to one side of her chest, and headed to the living room.
The curtains in the living room were already drawn, Simon Forrester was lying on the sofa, seemingly asleep...
She walked over quietly, initially intending to wake him up for a shower, but at that moment of leaning over, she found he looked really handsome sleeping...
She couldn’t resist.
She closely observed his face, from his full forehead, prominent brow bone, deep-set eyes, long eyelashes, straight nose to his exquisite, well-proportioned lips, and finally his firm, tense jawline.
His face was somewhat long, with his high nose and deep eyes, coupled with a clear British aura, which easily gave the impression that he was an overseas-born Chinese.
Sienna didn’t know how to describe Simon Forrester’s handsomeness, she thought his looks surpassed any male celebrity, most importantly it’s his unique temperament that combines nobility and an artistic touch.
She really liked him, everything about him, she liked...
She gazed at him infatuatedly, entranced, as her long hair, draped on one side, touched Simon Forrester’s arm.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes and gazed at her serenely.
She was startled, blinked her big eyes a few times, her face quickly flushed red, instinctively wanting to stand up, but it was too late.
Simon Forrester pressed her neck down with one hand, while raising his head to give her a kiss.
She stood there, dazed for a few seconds, blushing, then stood up straight, turned her back, standing there, unsure whether to stay or leave.
Behind her came the sound of rustling, Simon Forrester also stood up and hugged her from behind, asking in a low voice, "You’ve never kissed anyone before?"
Her body stiffened.
Admitting would make her seem inexperienced? Would that make her look undesirable?
If she didn’t admit it, that wouldn’t be right either, because she really hadn’t...
"I..." She was full of nervousness and confusion, softly said, "No."
There was no sound from behind for a long time, but she could feel him holding her tighter.
He didn’t show any delight or other emotions, just hugged her tightly, as if trying to merge her into his flesh and blood.
After being hugged for a while, Sienna felt a bit uncomfortable, she moved her body and said softly, "Go take a shower, we’ve been by the lake all afternoon and we’re dusty, I just got clean and you’re dirtying me again."
He came back to his senses, loosened his arms, but then pulled her into an embrace facing him. He looked down at her, she saw her own flushed face reflected in his bright eyes.
Simon Forrester went to take a shower.
As soon as he left, Sienna started trembling with nervousness all over. She couldn’t control her body, shaking all over.
Not until her phone in the room rang did she stop trembling.
Quentin Thorne sent a video call request, Sienna didn’t dare delay, and accepted it immediately.
On the other end, her parents were smiling and asked if she’d had dinner, where she was staying overnight, and also inquired about the land matter. Luckily, during dinner with Simon Forrester, she talked about the land, so she could say a few things to stall them.
Hearing that Maeve was short on funds, Quentin Thorne suggested that Sienna could ask Old Mrs. Thorne for investment. Sienna said she would discuss it with Maeve first before deciding.
While still in the video call, the bathroom door opened, and Simon Forrester came out after showering.
Sienna was sitting on the chaise lounge in the room at that time, watching Simon Forrester towel dry his hair as he walked to the bed opposite her and sat down.
He looked at her seriously, with a mischievous smile on his lips.
Her whole body tensed up, that urge to tremble came back, afraid her parents on the other end of the video would notice, she used laughter to hide her unease.
"What is Maeve busy with? Mom hasn’t seen her in a while. Ask her to say a few words with us," Melinda Linton suddenly suggested talking to Maeve.
Sienna’s face went pale, she looked at Simon Forrester.
Simon Forrester’s hands stopped drying his hair, he pointed to the door with his thumb, mouthing, "I’ll go out." With that, he quietly left the room.
Sienna called out towards the bathroom, "Maeve, are you done?"
Upon hearing, Melinda Linton quickly said, "Maeve is in the shower? Then nevermind, Annie, you rest early."
When the video call ended, Sienna let out a long sigh of relief.
Feeling guilty like a sinner is really unpleasant.
After this round, she suddenly felt a bit flat, and sullenly returned to the living room.
Outside, the curtains were opened again.
Simon Forrester stood there with a towel draped over his shoulder, hands in pockets, looking out at the night view.
Sienna summoned the courage to walk over, wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, rested her chin on his shoulder, without saying a word, just holding him.
He turned his head to give her a kiss, held her small hands, and laughed, "Was that scary just now?"
She pouted and let out a long breath, coquettishly saying, "When I go back, I want to clarify our relationship with my parents, hopefully, next time we can go out openly, I’m scared to death doing this sneakily."
He laughed, turned and embraced her, "Okay, I won’t let you down."
After hugging for a while, she tugged at the hem of his T-shirt, her voice a muffled hum because her face was buried in his chest, "Are you going to sleep on the sofa tonight?"
He laughed, "Okay."
.
Late at night, a few stars hung on the horizon, the quiet county town lacked any nightlife.
Sienna lay in bed clutching the blanket, wide awake.
She tossed and turned, getting up now and then to check if there was light still coming from under the door.
The light was still on in the living room, Simon Forrester hadn’t gone to sleep yet.
What was he doing?
She wanted to go out and see what he was up to, why he wasn’t asleep yet, afraid she wouldn’t be able to resist wanting to get close to him, cling to him for a hug.
And so she tossed and turned, unable to sleep until the middle of the night, and the light in the living room still stayed on...
