Chapter 108 Banshee Potion, Challenge Cup
Chapter 108 Banshee Potion, Challenge Cup
"We wizards not only need to acquire knowledge, but also need to have enough creativity. Creativity is the lifeblood of us wizards, remember that."
China?
Broken plane?
Hearing these somewhat familiar words, Lin Wei was momentarily at a loss for words, his brows furrowing slightly as he fell into deep thought.
"By the way, Tower Master, may I ask you about the power of that spell you just cast?" Lin Wei asked curiously, his eyes filled with longing.
"The center of the mortise and tenon array is about 25,000 Hz. Ordinary first-ring sorcery would be lucky to break 10,000 Hz. Of course, I am a second-ring sorcerer, so I can improve it a lot after casting it," Tower Master Robert said with a confident expression.
Lin Wei smiled bitterly: "At 25,000 Hz, the power I generated is still hovering around a few dozen Hz. As long as I don't become a first-ring wizard, I'm just an ant."
His face showed helplessness.
"Don't be discouraged, the future belongs to you." Robert patted Lin Wei on the shoulder in a very friendly manner and added, "You're a second-class wizard apprentice now, right? In a few years, there will be a Challenge Cup trial for our region. Are you interested in participating? At that time, wizard apprentices from dozens of wizarding organizations will participate, and those who perform well will receive official rewards from the Wizarding Council."
"We have everything, from wands and Rubik's Cubes to Banshee potions for breaking through to the next level. Banshees of Pain are always few in number, and I don't know how many first-class wizarding apprentices are eyeing this potion with longing," Robert continued, a hint of mystery in his eyes.
"So many great things, can I participate?" Lin Wei's eyes lit up, he straightened up, and his face was full of anticipation.
However, he is still inexperienced and cannot even perform a decent witchcraft right now.
"Sure, I'll submit your application for the Challenge Cup, but whether you can make it out of our Turing Tower depends on yourself. Dora will also be applying. You're the only second-class wizard apprentice; the rest are first-class." Robert suddenly said mysteriously, a slight smile playing on his lips. "But I believe that anyone who can withstand a blow from the King Squid isn't that simple. Back when I was a second-circle wizard apprentice, I couldn't have done it."
"Okay, then I'll participate." Lin Wei nodded decisively, his eyes firm.
When the opportunity presented itself, Lin Wei naturally didn't hesitate; his encounter with the giant squid had given him a clue.
Only by improving can we survive better!
Resources are limited; if you're slow at one step, you'll be slow at every step.
It's impossible to wait until he's fully prepared before facing everything.
"You should recover your strength. We'll be at Turing Island soon." Tower Master Robert turned his head slightly and said in a steady voice, his gaze fixed on the distance, as if he could already see the outline of the island.
The tower master nodded and casually tossed over a bottle of green potion. The bottle traced an arc in the air and landed steadily in front of Lin Wei.
The tower owner, Robert, began to close his eyes and rest.
"Thank you, Tower Master." Lin Wei quickly accepted the gift with both hands, his face filled with gratitude, and bowed slightly.
Lin Wei didn't waste any time; he was indeed in poor condition, his face pale and his lips bloodless. Any other wizard apprentice would be lucky to be alive by now; the fact that he could still chat was truly a testament to his knightly background.
As the medicine entered his throat, Lin Wei felt a tingling sensation throughout his body, as if he were being gently pricked by countless tiny needles. His body began to itch, as if countless tiny insects were crawling inside him. However, his internal injuries were healing rapidly, and he could feel a warm current flowing through his body.
Lin Wei felt a chill run down his spine, thinking to himself, "This medicine tastes strange; I almost thought it was poison, but the effect is quite good. The Tower Master is a good person." He wrinkled his nose slightly, a strange expression appearing on his face.
Robert, the tower master standing to the side, twitched his eyelids slightly, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. He thought to himself, "Lin Wei's physical body is even better than I imagined. He can even swallow expired slime potion directly."
About two hours later, Lin Wei saw the outline of Turing Island. The island looked like a huge green gem set in the blue sea, surrounded by layers of white waves.
"Wow, it's been a month since I got out." Lin Wei looked at the land, his eyes full of excitement, feeling like he had seen the light of day again, and couldn't help but stretch.
At the harbor, ships entered one after another, like obedient little fish, lined up in neat rows. The crew began weighing and calculating the flesh and blood of the sea creatures on board. The tower master Robert's wooden horse was particularly eye-catching. Its unique shape and mysterious light quickly drew gasps of surprise.
"Greetings, Tower Master." A wizard apprentice bowed his head respectfully, his body slightly bent and his hands hanging at his sides.
"Lord Tower Master."
"Lord Robert is back."
Along the way, wizard apprentices kept bowing to him, and Tower Master Robert greeted them with a smile, his face warm and friendly, revealing his white teeth.
"Everyone, keep up the good work and keep striving." After saying that, he transformed into a streak of light and drifted towards the Turing Tower in the distance. The streak of light was like a golden ribbon, streaking across the air.
Everyone busied themselves with their tasks, and a wizard apprentice noticed Lin Wei, who had come with Tower Master Robert.
"Who is this person? Lord Robert himself brought him back." A wizard apprentice pointed at Lin Wei's small boat, his face full of shock, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open.
"Yes, who is this person?" The other wizard apprentices also gathered around, their faces filled with curiosity.
The wizard apprentices whispered amongst themselves, their voices creating a cacophony.
"Uh." Lin Wei was suddenly surrounded by so many people, and his body stiffened slightly. Fortunately, he was thick-skinned and didn't have much of an emotional reaction. He just frowned slightly.
"Lin Wei?" Dora's voice came from the crowd. The blonde woman walked over quickly, her face showing a mixture of surprise and joy, her eyes sparkling. "You're not dead? I thought you were dead. A third-class wizard apprentice, spending a month alone in the Endless Sea?"
"Haha, Senior Sister, I've broken through! I'm now a second-class wizard apprentice!" Lin Wei replied with a smile, revealing a set of white teeth.
It always feels good to be remembered.
"You broke through? So fast? But even a second-class wizard apprentice is useless. Being able to stay in the Endless Sea for a week is already extraordinary. You actually stayed for a month." Dora was both surprised and delighted, her hands on her hips, her eyes full of disbelief.
"Just lucky," Lin Wei chuckled, scratching his head.
When this conversation reached the ears of the others, it was like a thunderclap.
"This Lin Wei sounds familiar. He seems to be a newcomer, a knight from the mortal realm?" A wizard apprentice pondered, resting his chin on his hand and frowning slightly.
"It's him, he really is back." The wizard apprentice who had watched Lin Wei buy a boat and set sail said, with a look of sudden realization on his face.
