Chapter 491 - 383: Yuan Lang’s Butt Is Too Big
Chapter 491 - 383: Yuan Lang’s Butt Is Too Big
Blinding sunlight fought to squeeze through the tall canopies, leaving only small patches of light on the grass below.
A few of those patches of light even fell upon the passing Snow Tiger Tribe Beastmen.
Yuan Lang felt the sun’s warmth on his face and let out a soft sigh. "It’s too late to go back, gather our people, and try to cut them off again. After this pursuit, the Beastmen from the Scorpion Tribe and Yan Yan Tribe will definitely waste no time in getting away."
Since there was no way to stop them, Yuan Lang let go of his frustration. But still...
He clenched his fists. ’I have one more reason to become stronger.’
"Back to the tribe."
As soon as the Beastman finished speaking, he took the lead, darting into the forest ahead. Watching his figure, much of the gloom in the hearts of the Snow Tiger Tribe Beastman Warriors dissipated.
After a few low growls, they followed Yuan Lang, sprinting in the direction of the tribe.
Meanwhile, in the Snow Tiger Tribe, the previous day’s danger had already been forgotten by the tribespeople.
After the bustling trade fair, all the tribes in the Polar Forest entered the harvest season.
The forest was so full of fruits and wild vegetables that there was more than enough to eat. Even hunting was much easier than ever before.
In this season of plenty, even the smaller tribes could eat their fill every day.
The Snow Tiger Tribe had likewise entered its own busy season.
In years past, autumn had always been the tribe’s favorite season, but that was simply because of the endless supply of food.
It was also the rare time of year when the Pure Humans were able to eat meat.
But this year was different. Having learned how to dry vegetables and fruits, the tribespeople all began to gather their favorite foods, turning them into easily storable dried goods.
With the rise of dried-good production, the tribe’s weaving industry boomed.
"Oh, my! How many grass bags can you weave with the long leaf grass you gathered today? Can you get me the bags I need by tomorrow? I’ve got nothing to store all my dried vegetables and fruit in!"
The female holding the long leaf grass pursed her lips, a bit embarrassed. "These past few days, all I’ve done is eat, sleep, and weave. The long leaf grass I gathered today will still take two days to dry."
"But I do have some already-dried long leaf grass at home. You can come pick up your bags tomorrow."
The woman grinned upon hearing this. "Oh, thank goodness! You’re a lifesaver. If I didn’t get more bags, I’d have to just leave all my dried goods on grass mats."
With that, she took a few fruits from the basket on her back and pressed them into the arms of the female holding the long leaf grass. "Well, I won’t hold you up then. I have to get back and cook. See you later!"
Then, humming a tune she couldn’t quite remember, she walked away.
The female with the long leaf grass hugged the fruits to her chest and quickened her pace toward home.
Two small cubs were playing at the entrance to her yard, their dusty little paws caked with mud.
Seeing their Amu return, they scrambled up from the ground with happy yelps and ran toward her.
"Amu, Amu! Fruit!"
"Fruit, Amu!"
The two little ones tugged at the grass vine tied around their Amu’s waist, their big, round eyes fixated on the fruit in her arms, a trickle of drool escaping the corners of their mouths.
"Amu still has to put the long leaf grass in the house. You two go wash your hands, then you can have some yummy fruit."
The two cubs gazed longingly at the fresh fruit, whining and fussing, wanting to enjoy the treat right away.
"Lord Wuyue says that bugs love dirty little cubs the most!"
After several Poisonous Insect attacks, if you were to ask the cubs of the Snow Tiger Tribe what they feared most, Poisonous Insects would undoubtedly top the list.
Hearing their Amu mention the bugs they hated most, the two little ones immediately let go of her already-straining grass vine. PITTER-PATTER, they ran into the yard to wash their hands.
With her skirt still pulled askew and half her backside exposed, the mother walked into the yard. She placed the long leaf grass on the kitchen floor before taking out the two fruits the other tribeswoman had given her.
She washed the fruit, then used a sharp shell knife to cut one of them into four equal pieces.
She placed the other one in a basket hanging on the wall. ’I don’t have time to go out gathering, so I’ll save this one for tomorrow.’
Having washed their little paws, the two cubs eagerly ran into the kitchen, holding out their now much cleaner paws for their Amu to inspect.
The mother patted the two cubs on the head, praising them, before handing the freshly sliced fruit to the two little ones.
