Chapter 19 Only You Can Bully Others
Chapter 19 Only You Can Bully Others
Zhu Ziqing was furious when she heard Ma Dongmei speaking ill of her to her colleagues.
She walked up to Ma Dongmei angrily and said, "Ma Dongmei, watch your mouth. Don't say such vulgar things behind her back."
Ma Dongmei looked at her defiantly: "I'm just stating the facts, what can you do about it?"
Zhu Ziqing's eyes turned cold, and she shoved Ma Dongmei against the wall: "If you keep talking nonsense, don't blame me for being impolite."
A flicker of panic crossed Ma Dongmei's eyes, but she forced herself to remain calm: "Zhu Ziqing, do you think you can shut me up like this? Don't think nobody knows about your shameless past. If I expose everything, you can expect to be fired from the company."
Zhu Ziqing frowned: "What shameless thing have I done? Ma Dongmei, don't make false accusations. What about you? You bully others in the company all the time, do you think no one knows? Don't push me too far, or I won't let you off easy."
Just as the two were at an impasse, Tan Haoyu suddenly appeared.
He stared coldly at Ma Dongmei, and the atmosphere immediately became tense.
Ma Dongmei's expression changed, and she stammered, "President, I... I was just joking with Zhu Ziqing."
Tan Haoyu interrupted her sternly: "Shut up! I don't want to hear your explanation. Get out of here right now, and don't let me see you causing trouble again."
Ma Dongmei slunk away.
Tan Haoyu slowly walked towards Zhu Ziqing.
Zhu Ziqing looked at him, her heart pounding.
She didn't know how Tan Haoyu would view her, and was about to explain.
Tan Haoyu spoke first, his eyes softening: "I believe you. You're not the kind of person who would start trouble."
Zhu Ziqing raised her head slightly, looked at Tan Haoyu, a hint of uncertainty in her eyes, and said softly, "You trust me that much? What if I really am the one causing trouble or bullying someone?"
Without hesitation, Tan Haoyu's deep eyes revealed his affection: "At Feiyang Technology, you, Zhu Ziqing, can only be the one who bullies others; you will never be bullied."
A warm feeling welled up in Zhu Ziqing's heart, and she said sincerely, "Thank you, Tan Haoyu, thank you for trusting me so much and supporting me so much, standing behind me without even asking why."
Tan Haoyu slightly raised the corners of his mouth, his voice low and gentle: "This is how it should be between husband and wife, mutual trust and mutual help."
Hearing these words, Zhu Ziqing felt a warmth in her heart.
Tan Haoyu looked at Zhu Ziqing and softly invited, "Come for a walk with me."
Zhu Ziqing didn't really want to go back to participate in that noisy event, but she was also worried: "What if someone sees us?"
Tan Haoyu smiled slightly, full of confidence: "This is a villa area. No one can come in without my permission."
Without giving Zhu Ziqing any time to think, he reached out and took her hand.
Zhu Ziqing's hands were a little cold, but Tan Haoyu's warm palm enveloped her small hands, and a gentle warmth slowly passed through them.
Zhu Ziqing subconsciously wanted to pull her hand back, but the warmth made her want to stay, so she stopped.
As they walked, Zhu Ziqing stopped, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "Aren't you curious about my past?"
Tan Haoyu looked into her eyes and said seriously, "I only care about your future; your past has nothing to do with me."
Zhu Ziqing felt a pang of sadness, and her eyes reddened slightly.
Seeing this, Tan Haoyu gently pulled her into his arms.
Zhu Ziqing leaned against Tan Haoyu's chest, feeling his strong heartbeat, and was filled with emotion.
She couldn't help but snuggle against Tan Haoyu.
Tan Haoyu tightened his grip on her arm.
Just as Zhu Ziqing was about to speak, Tan Haoyu gently interrupted her: "Don't speak yet, I'll take you somewhere."
Zhu Ziqing nodded obediently, letting Tan Haoyu lead her forward.
Before long, the two arrived at a colorful beach.
The sand on the beach shimmered with iridescent light, like countless tiny gems scattered on the ground, contrasting beautifully with the surrounding azure sea, creating a dreamlike scene.
Zhu Ziqing couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, this place is so beautiful!"
Looking at Zhu Ziqing's energetic appearance, Tan Haoyu smiled indulgently.
He took his phone out of his pocket, his eyes scanning the surroundings, looking for the best angle to take a picture.
Zhu Ziqing's eyes were full of anticipation as she turned to Tan Haoyu and said softly, "I'd like to walk on the beach, is that alright?"
Tan Haoyu nodded slightly, his eyes filled with indulgence: "Of course."
Zhu Ziqing was wearing a light blue floral dress today, the hem of which swayed gently in the sea breeze.
She casually draped her hair over her shoulders, a few strands of which were blown across her cheeks by the sea breeze, adding a touch of playfulness.
She was wearing a pair of white flat sandals, a far cry from her usual dignified professional attire at the company.
At that moment, she was like an elf who had walked out of the sea.
Zhu Ziqing smiled happily as she slowly walked towards the beach.
The colorful sand beneath my feet is soft and fine, gliding between my toes and creating a wonderful tactile sensation.
She gently lifted her skirt to avoid getting it wet with sand.
A gentle sea breeze caressed her, ruffling her hair.
She squinted her eyes slightly, enjoying this pleasant moment.
Tan Haoyu followed not far behind her, his phone camera always pointed at her.
As Zhu Ziqing walked, she suddenly seemed to be ignited by inner joy and began to run around happily on the beach.
Her laughter drifted in the sea breeze, as clear and melodious as silver bells.
She would sometimes squat down to pick up a seashell and examine it carefully in the sunlight, her focused expression as if she were discovering the most precious treasure in the world.
Sometimes she would shout loudly at the sea, her voice swallowed by the sound of the waves, but that did not diminish her enthusiasm in the slightest.
Tan Haoyu looked at her, his smile growing even wider.
He kept adjusting the angle and focus of his phone, capturing every lively moment of Zhu Ziqing.
"Click, click," the shutter sounded.
Zhu Ziqing's beautiful figure on the beach was captured one by one.
The image of her skirt fluttering, the way she bent down to pick up seashells, and the way she shouted towards the sea were all captured in Tan Haoyu's phone album.
Zhu Ziqing was immersed in this rare moment of comfort.
Suddenly, a crisp cell phone ringtone broke the silence.
Zhu Ziqing was slightly taken aback, then gave Tan Haoyu an apologetic smile before taking out her phone to answer the call.
"Hello?" Zhu Ziqing said softly.
Wang Dazhuang's voice came from the other end of the phone: "Zhu Ziqing, where are you? Everyone is waiting for you to eat. Come back right away."
Zhu Ziqing frowned: "Okay, I understand, I'll go back right away."
After hanging up the phone, Zhu Ziqing said to Tan Haoyu with a face full of apology, "Tan Haoyu, I'm sorry, the team said there's a dinner party, I have to go back."
Tan Haoyu nodded slightly, a hint of reluctance in his eyes.
