Chapter 14 Blacksmith: Thank you!
Chapter 14 Blacksmith: Thank you!
As the two walked out of the shop, the owner gave Andrea a friendly smile, making her feel embarrassed for eating for free.
Terra watched as the guide kept promising the boss that he would make up the money, and suddenly an idea popped into her head.
He broke a gold coin in his bag into 100 silver coins, took out 20 silver coins and threw them out, "Guide, here's your money."
Andrea 1 stared at the pixelated silver coin on the ground, paused for a moment, and after a difficult internal struggle, bent down and reached out her hand.
The silver coin turned into its normal material as soon as it was in her hand, but unlike the copper coin the boss had shown her, this silver coin had no patterns at all.
After whispering a thank you to Terra, the elf went to pay the shopkeeper.
The shopkeeper took the silver coin from the elf and fell into deep thought.
So all those fruits and money were given to me by that blocky guy? Two bowls of stewed rabbit only cost 40 copper coins.
Although this silver coin does not have the lord's design, it looks to be of quite high purity.
What a kind person.
You can actually give money to NPCs?
Terra watched the guide's retreating figure as he paid, finding it quite amusing. The new version's NPC interaction details were actually quite well done.
Andrea suggested that she would go for a walk by herself, saying that she would definitely be back within the agreed time. Then she took the pocket money Terra had given her and went into the food street.
Terra isn't worried about losing her guide, since she can see the guide's avatar on the minimap anyway.
Although the places he hasn't been to are blacked out on the minimap, it doesn't matter.
Terra wandered the streets alone, soon abandoning the usual route and hopping between houses.
Terra wanted to see if there were any useful NPCs in the new version.
He had more than enough coins on him, and the merchant NPC should have appeared by now, but he hadn't seen it yet. Just as he was thinking this, he heard a clinking sound.
That was the sound of a hammer striking metal.
Terra jumped off the roof and landed in front of the door where the sound was coming from. Terra right-clicked to open the door. Inside, a furnace was burning brightly, and a short, stocky dwarf NPC was intently forging a red-hot iron block on an anvil with his back to the door.
The dwarf, hearing the door open, didn't turn around, remaining focused on his work. He sighed irritably and began reciting a tongue twister:
"The weapon shop does not manufacture farm tools. It only accepts single-edged weapons and iron bows and crossbows, and does not make magic staffs, unless you want a hammerhead welded onto the staff."
"If you want to commission a forging, bring the permission documents from the lord, the forging guild, and the adventurers' guild, and clearly state your specific requirements before you come."
"Prices depend on the craftsmanship. If you think it's too expensive, turn right and leave. If you're selling scrap metal, ask that guy over there to weigh it."
Terra didn't reply. He glanced around and saw a familiar face. The man saw him too; it was the miner who had experienced happiness.
The miner shuddered when he saw him, then bowed to him.
Seeing this, the dwarf turned around in confusion, only to be suddenly confronted with Terra's face, which was made of pure blocks and as white as marble. He was so startled that he almost dropped his hammer.
Immediately afterwards, he felt his body being controlled by some invisible force.
Terra was delighted because he discovered that this NPC actually sold iron ingots, with a limit of 100 per purchase.
The blacksmith dwarf's happiness level is currently 95, which is not bad. An iron ingot costs 3 silver coins, which is much cheaper than stewed rabbit.
Terra felt there was something wrong with the pricing of the new version; the old version of stewed rabbit was expensive because it required an iron pot to make.
But the new version can be purchased directly, and it still costs 20 silver coins.
Since iron ingots weren't expensive, Terra simply emptied its inventory.
When the dwarf felt the other loosen their grip, he angrily pushed Terra away, but couldn't budge her at all.
The dwarf remembered that this guy was the blocky man the miner had mentioned earlier, the one who made him fall from the sky and then gave him money.
How did I get here?
The dwarf noticed a heavy weight beneath his feet. He looked down and discovered a large pile of silver coins that had somehow reached his knees.
There are at least several hundred of them.
When did these things appear?
The dwarf picked up one casually, lost in thought. He had seen many silver coins, but these were clearly of higher purity than those circulating in the market.
Recently, the region has been in turmoil, and local lords have been mixing inferior metals into their coins to varying degrees. Some shameless ones have even made silver coins with a silver content of less than 30%.
But the purity of these silver coins must be at least 95%, or even pure silver. How were they minted?
The dwarf asked, "Are these for me?"
Smiley bubbles appeared above Terra's head, and then the dwarf saw the blocky man walk to his anvil and place an iron ingot that he had pulled out from somewhere.
He had never seen an iron ingot with such low impurities.
Then, Terra started smashing things around with the hammer next to his anvil.
"Hey, such good iron, how can you waste it like this? Why do you keep forging things?" He, a dwarf, couldn't stand this.
And he used his precious anvil.
But a few seconds later, the iron ingot on the anvil disappeared, and in its place, a set of iron armor appeared out of nowhere on the blocky man, and when he swung his arm, an iron sword appeared in his hand.
The armor, like the cube-shaped body, was made of cubes, but each cube reflected the luster of iron.
The blocky man then produced a low table from somewhere and placed it down. He stood blankly in front of the table for a while, then suddenly moved and left, leaving the low table behind.
"What kind of customer is this? They walk in, give you money without saying a word, and then expect you to build the equipment yourself? What kind of amazing customer is this?"
The key question is how he forged the armor?
The dwarf tried to catch up, but found that the person had already disappeared from sight.
He sighed and went back, only to find that his precious anvil and the box containing the iron ingots were gone.
"Who did this?!"
The miner shook his head, indicating he didn't know.
A few hours later, Andrea returned on time in front of the Adventurers' Guild Hall, handing Terra the change and dessert she had found.
The two waited for Mana and the others at the door.
To her surprise, Terra was wearing a suit of iron armor and had an iron bucket upside down on his head?
"Guide, I made this for you." Terra opened the Guide's [Armor] panel, took away the previous wooden bow, and put the new iron bow on it.
[Swift Iron Bow] *1
[Ammunition Used: Arrows]
Base damage: 8 (ranged)
[Repelled: 0]
Critical Hit Rate: 4%
Projectile velocity: 7.26
[Base Price: 2 Silver Coins 80 Copper Coins]
Andrea felt a weight in her hand as an iron longbow appeared.
The bow-shaped body has smooth lines and a silver-gray sheen. Although the curvature of the bow looks strange, it is exceptionally comfortable to hold.
"Thank you, Terra. Who made this iron bow? And what's with your iron armor?"
"I found a blacksmith NPC, right here..." Terra said, as Mana and the others arrived.
The three were surprised to find that Terra was suddenly wearing full armor after only a short time apart.
Ragon circled Terra, tapping his shoulder armor with a crisp sound. "Excellent craftsmanship! This outfit, in today's market value, is worth at least five gold coins, maybe more."
Terra thought to herself that she could only sell this set for 24 silver coins.
It costs only 4 silver coins more than a bowl of stewed rabbit; the prices in Terra are truly astounding.
"You... uh, don't you need to make any more preparations?" Mana noticed that apart from Andrea's two bows, quiver, and small package, Terra was carrying nothing else.
Terra said she was ready.
Just then, a dwarf blacksmith came from a distance, cursing and swearing.
Lagon chuckled and joked, "The angry snail."
Bahrain, a member of the same team, kicked the lizardman's ankle.
The dwarf blacksmith quickly registered at the counter, then took a wooden question mark painted yellow from a box next to the task board, put it on his head, and stood angrily in the designated area.
He's here to issue a task.
Terra found it interesting and walked over.
The blacksmith looked up and saw Terra, and his anger subsided considerably, after all, this was a strange customer who had paid a "huge sum".
The blacksmith dwarf said, "So you're an adventurer? I have a commission, would you like to take it? My anvils and iron have been stolen by some random person. Whoever did that probably isn't a good person."
Andrea leaned closer curiously: "You two know each other?"
Terra: "Your armor and your bow were both obtained from him."
The blacksmith dwarf then noticed the iron bow in the elf's hand, his eyes widening: "Huh? I made that?"
Andrea immediately bowed slightly and respectfully, presenting the bow with both hands: "Master!"
"No, no, no!" the dwarf hurriedly waved his hands, his face embarrassed.
Terra opened his chat window and saw that the new version even had a quest:
[Help the dwarves retrieve their lost iron ingots 0/5]
The design is actually quite decent.
Terra put the remaining iron ingots she had "taken" from the dwarf shop into the blacksmith's inventory in the blacksmith's dialogue box.
The dwarf suddenly found himself holding several heavy, gleaming silver iron ingots.
The dwarf stared in surprise at the iron ingot, looking at it and smelling it, and found that it was exactly the same as the one the block man had taken out of the shop earlier.
"Is this for me?" The blacksmith couldn't believe it.
"right."
He had never seen such pure goods before, and as for that so-called precious anvil, let it go to hell.
He no longer cared where the stolen goods went; this thing was much better than all the junk that was stolen!
"It's soooooo amazing! How did you forge this cube brother?" The blacksmith's beard trembled with excitement.
I bought it from you.
Terra: "Is the mission complete?"
"Huh? Well, I guess so."
The blacksmith nodded, removed the question mark from his head, and handed Terra a bag of money. The money was immediately sucked away by Terra as soon as he took it out.
Terra checked and saw that she had been rewarded with 1 gold coin and 50 silver coins for completing a task.
Just then, Terra heard a ding.
He noticed a ring of gold around the blacksmith's skin.
Opening the dialogue box, I discovered that the blacksmith's shop, which previously only sold iron ingots, has started selling anvils, iron picks, and iron axes.
Terra wondered if the NPC's trading was unlocked by completing quests and leveling up?
Terra bought iron tools and sold the copper tools he had to the dwarves.
Looking at the golden-looking bronze tools in his hands, the blacksmith bowed to Terra and said, "Master!"

Behind them, a young girl, holding a summoning staff, walked into the guild hall with her head down.
