Chapter 186 Absurd Ideas
Chapter 186 Absurd Ideas
"Find out Fu Shiyue and Bai Wei's whereabouts immediately! I need you to find them as quickly as possible!" Bai Yu roared furiously, his voice echoing in the room, filled with uncontrollable anger and anxiety.
Bai Yu's face was extremely gloomy, and his brows were tightly furrowed.
"Weiwei, why do you have to run away from me?"
Bai Yu's men trembled with fear at his anger, nodded hastily, and hurriedly left the room to arrange for people to investigate.
Bai Yu paced back and forth in the room, his eyes filled with pain and resentment. He couldn't understand why Bai Wei wanted to leave with Fu Shiyue. Hadn't he given her enough?
Just then, his phone rang. Bai Yu picked it up anxiously, thinking it was a message from Bai Wei.
"Any news?" he asked eagerly.
"Sir, I just found out that they have arrived at the airport, and Fu Shiyue has already booked his flight back to China. They are already preparing to board the plane. We... I'm afraid we can't stop them."
"waste!"
He gripped his phone tightly, his fingers turning white from the force, as if it were his last lifeline. His brow was furrowed, and his eyes revealed an unspeakable anxiety and unease.
After a moment of silence, he suddenly took a deep breath and said, as if he had made up his mind, "It seems I have to go back and see them."
He had met his match, but it was Weiwei's former lover.
Fu Shiyue
That's quite a formidable opponent.
As for Bai Wei, he would never let her go.
Before he finished speaking, a resolute glint flashed in Bai Yu's eyes.
He hung up the phone without hesitation, then slowly lowered his hand that was holding the phone.
However, he didn't completely let go; instead, he gripped the phone tightly, as if he wanted to crush it.
His lips curled slightly upward, revealing an enigmatic smile. That smile contained a hint of helplessness, yet also seemed to conceal a certain confidence and expectation.
“It’s alright. What’s mine will always be mine, and no one can take it away.” He murmured softly, as if comforting himself, or as if declaring war on some unseen opponent. “There’s a big show waiting for you later, Fu Shiyue.”
Bai Yu quickly arranged his domestic affairs and took the fastest flight back to China.
As soon as I got off the plane, I went to find Bai Wei.
He knew that she must be with Fu Shiyue right now.
I tried calling her, but the line was constantly busy and the call didn't go through.
Somewhat annoyed, Bai Yu stuffed his phone back into his pocket. He decided to go directly to the places where Fu Shiyue might have taken Bai Wei to look for her.
He found another residence of Fu Shiyue. As soon as the car arrived at the door, he saw Bai Wei and Fu Shiyue talking by the window.
Arriving at the gate, I wanted to push it open.
The butler inside rushed out and asked...
"who are you?"
“Go tell Fu Shiyue that I’m taking my sister home and make him hand her over to me.”
The butler hesitated for a moment, then went in to report.
Not long after, Fu Shiyue led Bai Wei out of the house. The two walked side by side, their steps light, as if they shared a tacit understanding.
When they reached the door, the butler was already waiting. He quickly stepped forward and gently pushed open the heavy door.
The two of them walked up to Bai Yu together.
Bai Wei looked at her brother and whispered, "Brother..."
Seeing this, Bai Yu quickly stepped forward, wanting to take Bai Wei's hand and lead her away from this place.
However, just as he was about to touch Bai Wei's hand, he discovered that Bai Wei's other hand was being held tightly by Fu Shiyue.
Bai Yu's face instantly darkened, while Fu Shiyue returned his gaze with a cold stare.
Their eyes met, and sparks seemed to fly instantly, creating an unusually tense atmosphere.
"Didn't you realize that Aran doesn't want to leave with you?" Then, with a mocking expression, he continued, "Where do you plan to take her? To take her abroad and keep her imprisoned there?"
Bai Yu looked at Bai Wei, who remained motionless, and ignored Fu Shiyue's words. Instead, he continued to ask, "Little sister, do you want to choose your brother, or the man who hurt you in the past?"
Bai Wei was stunned by his words. She lowered her eyes, recalling the warm and brief time she spent with her brother and father. Her brother had always doted on her. But then she suddenly remembered how he had drugged her and imprisoned her abroad. She also thought about her past with Fu Shiyue. Although there had been hurt, the two of them were still entangled.
Fu Shiyue looked at her without saying anything, silently giving her strength.
“Brother, I know you mean well, but I’m all grown up now and can take responsibility for my choices.”
"You are my brother, my family. We are related by blood, and we will never be separated..."
She had made it clear to him that they would only ever be siblings, and there could be no other relationship between them.
Bai Yu was stunned, his eyes filled with disbelief and pain. "Weiwei, you should know by now, we are not blood siblings." His voice was hoarse. "Fu Shiyue hurt you before, he can't give you happiness."
"He hurt you and took advantage of you, have you forgotten all of that?"
"No, I haven't forgotten. Everything that happened is clearly in my mind. I remember everything that happened before."
"Then you still..."
"I want to follow my heart. If in the end we don't end up together, then we are truly destined to be apart."
His gaze darkened slightly, as if shrouded in shadow, revealing a self-deprecating expression. He whispered, "Weiwei, I love you."
Although the voice was not loud, it was full of sincere emotion.
He slowly took a step forward, seemingly wanting to grab Bai Wei, but just as he was about to touch her, Fu Shiyue stood in front of him like a solid wall, blocking his way.
Upon hearing Bai Yu's words, Bai Wei's heart skipped a beat. Her mind seemed to have been suddenly emptied by a powerful force, leaving her completely blank. She stood there, stunned, utterly unable to comprehend what Bai Yu had said.
Recalling what she had overheard in the study, she realized that she and her brother were not biological siblings and had no blood relation whatsoever. Despite this, Bai Wei never considered developing a relationship with Bai Yu that went beyond sibling affection; she always regarded Bai Yu as her closest brother.
"Brother, I've always considered you my brother..." Bai Wei's voice trembled slightly as she tried to explain her thoughts, but Bai Yu interrupted her without hesitation.
"I've never treated you like my sister. From beginning to end, I've only wanted to be with you forever." Bai Yu's words were firm and resolute, without the slightest hesitation or retreat.
She always treated him like a brother, but he never considered Bai Wei his sister at all! He even dared to dream of her and her brother being lovers—that was utterly absurd!
“Brother, how could you think such a thing? Dad is gone. If he knew, he would be furious…” she said excitedly, her voice trembling.
The thought of his father caused him a sharp pain, as if his heart were being pierced by needles. His father had loved her so much when he was alive; if he were alive and knew that his brother harbored such incestuous thoughts about her, he would never find peace.
"But Dad is gone, he won't take care of us anymore. From now on, I will be the person you love the most."
Bai Yu smiled dismissively, a smile that Bai Wei found particularly irritating, as if he were gloating.
