The moon was bright and the stars were few; night had fallen. When Lin Fan left the Shancheng Group building, it was already eight o'clock in the evening.
"It seems like I forgot something?" Lin Fan suddenly remembered that he hadn't taken the information Gao Xuan had given him earlier. Although he had inherited the company, he still knew nothing about the Shancheng Group.
"Never mind, I'll come again tomorrow." Lin Fan hailed another taxi to go back to Grandma Su's place, worried that Su Ruowei would be bullied after he left.

"Yes."
The driver, gripping the steering wheel, glanced at Lin Fan out of the corner of his eye and said, "It's Grandma Su's birthday today, why are you so late?"
"How do you know so much?" Lin Fan asked in surprise, glancing at the driver beside him. But no matter how he looked at him, he was just an ordinary middle-aged man.
“We taxi drivers know a city best. We pick up all sorts of passengers every day, from north to south, talking about everything, big and small.” The driver suddenly smiled, wrinkles appearing at the corners of his eyes, and continued:
"Besides, the Su family is so concerned about their reputation that they want the whole city to know about their move into a villa. However, the fact that their granddaughter married a son-in-law who moved into their home is a disgrace to the old lady."
Lin Fan was amused by the driver's words and laughed, "Indeed, the Su family is very concerned about their reputation." After hesitating for a moment, he laughed again, "I am the son-in-law you mentioned."

Inside the living room, the banquet was set up, with three tables in total. The head table was occupied by the old lady of the Su family and the middle generation, namely Su Ruowei's father's generation. However, what was special was that Su Jianqiang was sitting next to Fang Minjun, which was enough to show the old lady's great affection for him.
The second table was occupied by the younger generation, including Su Ruowei and her friends. The third table was filled with guests and friends who had come to celebrate the old lady's birthday. All three tables had the same dishes, a feast of delicacies.
There was actually a fourth table, with slightly inferior dishes, set up in a corner where the servants ate. One seat was reserved for Lin Fan.
Lin Fan entered the living room, consciously walked to a corner, sat down, and began to eat.
When everyone saw Lin Fan return, they all looked at him with disdain, but Su Ruowei's disdainful gaze was tinged with worry.
Lin Fan noticed Su Ruowei's gaze, suddenly stood up and walked towards her, touching his neck and saying, "Wife, I had to pee earlier and didn't have time to tell you, so I'll make up for it now."

Su Yulin is the daughter of the third brother, Su Zhengshuang, and is the youngest among the younger generation. She has just graduated from university, but she is very perceptive and knows that Su Jianqiang is a favorite in the Su family.
Su Jianqiang waved his hand at Su Yulin and said, "Little sister, don't say that. After all, he's your brother-in-law and my brother-in-law. As everyone continued eating, a man dressed in black suddenly walked in.
"Who is Su Ruowei?" the man shouted.
This shout startled everyone in the room, even Lin Fan shuddered.
Seeing the man's menacing demeanor, everyone was too frightened to utter a sound. Fang Minjun tapped her cane and shouted, "Who are you? Why did you come uninvited!"
"I am from the Lin family of Shancheng, and I have been ordered to find Su Ruowei!" The man looked her over, his eyes gleaming menacingly.
"The Lin family of Shancheng?" Upon hearing the Lin family's renowned name, the old lady's previous imposing manner vanished completely. She quickly greeted them with a smile, leaning on her cane as she stepped forward and asked, "May I ask what brings you to my Su family?"
"I'm only here on orders. I can only tell you after I see Su Ruowei!" the man said.
Fang Minjun was so shocked that she broke out in a cold sweat and dared not ask any more questions. However, as the head of the family, she felt that handing over her granddaughter would bring shame to the Su family when facing the guests who came to celebrate her birthday.

"Miss Su, this is for you!" The man took out an exquisite gift box, placed it on the table, and turned to leave.
The crowd looked at each other, bewildered, wondering what kind of drama this was all about.
Su Ruowei was still in shock when Su Yulin stepped forward and opened the box, revealing an incredulous expression the moment it was opened.
"What's wrong, Yulin? Did you see something scary?" a relative asked.
Su Yulin quickly shook her head and exclaimed, "My God, Angel's Tears! The box contains Angel's Tears!"
