Chapter 117 How much does it cost to dress like this?
Qin Yanjun, along with Wen Xin and Wen Yu, rushed to Xusheng Company.
Tian Yutong stood at the company entrance waiting. When she saw them, she led them directly to her office.
Tian Yutong already knew that Qin Yanlin had been beaten unconscious. She knew that the Qin family would definitely send someone over, probably within the next few days. So she wasn't surprised to see Wen Xin and Wen Yu arrive. However, she was slightly surprised, and then disappointed, when it was Qin Yanjun who came.
She thought it would be Deng Xiuzhen who came, and she had already figured out how to deal with Deng Xiuzhen. Who knew that it would be Qin Yanlin's older brother who came.
Upon seeing the youthful, beautiful, and stylishly dressed Tian Yutong, Qin Yanjun's eyes lit up, and he became even more eager to take over the company and become the boss.
He had worked in a state-owned enterprise and was a shrewd and ambitious person. He had seen leaders eating, karaoke, and soaking their feet. What he envied most was the boss soaking in a hot spring with two women on his left and right. Every time he saw this, his blood would boil and his head would rush to his head.
Once he becomes the boss, the first thing he wants to do is win over this young and beautiful female secretary. Thinking that the female secretary will soon become his woman, he said eagerly, "Is this Secretary Tian? I'm here today to take over the company. Could you please help me with the relevant procedures and transfer all the ownership of the company to my name? If you need any assistance, just tell me."
"Change?" Tian Yutong looked at Wen Xin and Wen Yu. Even though she was well prepared, she didn't expect that Qin Yanjun was here to handle the change.
Helping to manage the company is just helping out; the company still belongs to Qin Yanlin and his children. If there's a change in ownership, then the company will belong to someone else.
“Aunt Tian, please do as my uncle says. This is the opinion of Wen Yu and me, and also the opinion of everyone in the Qin family.” Wen Xin nodded and said, meeting Tian Yutong’s gaze.
On the way back, Qin Yanjun told her and Wen Yu that the company needed to be changed, otherwise many procedures would be difficult to complete, and the people in the company would not listen to him as the acting manager if the company was not changed.
She did have reservations, but the thought of a thousand yuan a month for pocket money was overwhelming. If Deng Xiuzhen were to manage the company, she would only receive a hundred. She also worried that her mother wasn't capable enough to manage it properly, and that if the company collapsed, she would get nothing in the future and would have to endure hardship for now.
“Aunt Tian, I support my uncle helping us manage the company!” Wen Yu quickly expressed his opinion.
Tian Yutong gave a professional smile and said in a sweet voice, "Welcome, President Qin, to take over the company! I will immediately notify the relevant personnel to come to a meeting, and we will go to complete the change of ownership procedures tomorrow."
Qin Yanjun asked, "Can't we do it today?" He was really worried that Deng Xiuzhen and Wenjing might come over at any time.
Tian Yutong's expression remained unchanged as she respectfully replied, "The change requires some materials. We couldn't prepare them all this morning, and by the time we have them ready this afternoon, the relevant departments will probably be closed."
Qin Yanjun reluctantly agreed.
Tian Yutong is capable and efficient; the change of registration was completed quickly.
Sitting in the CEO's office, with his hands on the armrests of the chair, Qin Yanjun felt an unprecedented sense of prestige and was filled with pride.
"President Qin, this is the engineering department's report. Please sign it." Tian Yutong knocked on the door, entered, and respectfully handed over the folder while standing in front of the desk.
As Tian Yutong leaned forward, her thin V-neckline opened slightly, revealing glimpses of her chest.
Qin Yanjun's heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly felt his mouth go dry. He beckoned and said, "I just took over, so I'm not very clear on this. Come over and explain it to me."
Tian Yutong obediently walked to Qin Yanjun's side, looked down at the folder, her smooth black hair cascading down, accompanied by a fragrance.
Qin Yanjun's hand itched, so he reached out and pinched Tian Yutong's pert buttocks.
Tian Yutong felt a chill run down her spine and instinctively stepped aside. However, a shy expression appeared on her face as she gave Qin Yanjun a reproachful glance and whispered, "Someone's here."
Then she ran out shyly.
Qin Yanjun burst into what he thought was a hearty laugh.
Tian Yutong cursed under her breath! She glanced into the finance department, then turned and went back to her office without stopping.
Not long after, Li Qiao came to find Tian Yutong with the documents.
Tian Yutong took it and opened it. There was a line of text that said it would take about four or five more days.
Tian Yutong looked up at Li Qiao and pressed down on the words with two fingers.
Li Qiao thought for a moment and nodded.
Tian Yutong flipped the folder over, looked through it again, and then returned it to Li Qiao.
Qin Yanjun got up and walked out of the office, strolling around, looking here and there. He chatted happily with the young receptionist on the first floor for a while before heading home for lunch.
After Qi Guomin drove Deng Xiuzhen and Wen Jing back to Pucheng, he dropped them off at the alley entrance, as they requested. He offered to go inside with them and then take them home later, but Deng Xiuzhen refused.
Qi Guomin couldn't refuse, so he gave them the key and told them: "The room has air conditioning. It's too hot. You can go back later when it's cooler."
In the long alleyways of the city, the temperature was nearly 40 degrees Celsius, causing wisps of white smoke to rise from the cement floors. Every household in the long alleyway had plastic strips hanging at their doorways to keep out the heat.
When they arrived at Zhao Shuliang's house, their clothes were soaked with sweat.
The wooden gate was not replaced, but it was repainted in vermilion and the lock was changed.
Pushing open the door, the interior was completely renovated. A new ceiling had been installed, the walls were painted white, and the floor was tiled. The doors to the rooms had all been replaced with modern locks. The furniture in each room was newly purchased, looking both high-end and cozy.
The back wall of the house has been repaired and plastered with cement. The top of the wall has been made into barbs with sharp steel spikes.
A small hut was built against the courtyard wall, and its interior was furnished much like a rural firehouse, where people could make a fire and smoke cured meat.
Several strips of land were separated by cement near the hut. Although they were not large, they were quite nice for planting some scallions, garlic, and rapeseed.
The rest of the area was smoothed with cement, and some flower pots with flowers and plants were placed against the wall.
Looking at everything before her, Deng Xiuzhen was shocked but also deeply moved: all she had done was fulfill her duty as a human being and pay back the money that Qin Yanlin owed for materials.
But they were considerate of the mother and daughter in every way.
"Mom, is this their house too? How much did it cost to decorate it like this?" Wenjing followed Deng Xiuzhen around, her eyes filled with genuine envy.
“Wenjing, your Grandpa Zhao gave us this house, but the paperwork hasn’t been completed yet. I plan to put it directly in your name. We’ll go and complete the paperwork tomorrow if we have time.” Deng Xiuzhen went into the room, turned on the air conditioner, and pulled Wenjing to sit down away from the draft.
"Grandpa Zhao gave us the house? This house is ours now? Why?" Wenjing asked excitedly. She was ambitious and wanted to support herself and her mother. But she also felt pressured; what would happen if her mother had no money and nowhere to live? Suddenly knowing that her mother had a place to live, and that the house was much better than the one in Chenjiawan, she felt a weight lifted from her shoulders, but she still wanted to know the truth.
