Chapter 909 - 935: My Seal (6)
Everyone knows she’s being one-sided in her feelings.
The media stirred up some rumors about their relationship, but how they proceed is really up to them, it’s nobody else’s business.
Why is Caiden Ward so eager to interfere?
Koa Jackson frowned and suddenly said, "Kari."
"Huh?" Caiden was startled by the sudden call, and goosebumps rose on his skin. He quickly assured, "I’m just talking, don’t worry, I never force anyone..."
Koa was too lazy to argue, and reminded him in a low voice, "You’re overly concerned about Maeve."
He thought about what could upset Lydia Williams, apart from Maeve getting pinched last time, without thinking of anything else.
Holding a grudge for that one little incident until now?
Koa felt he understood Caiden Ward well enough; although he can be a bit retaliatory, he wouldn’t be this extreme?
That little girl is unrelated to him, yet he’s almost pampering her to the sky.
He felt something was off.
Koa rubbed between his eyebrows, feeling a bit melancholic.
Meanwhile, Caiden laughed carelessly, "Overly concerned? I even think I’m not concerned enough. Okay, okay, don’t worry about my affairs, I’m not a three-year-old, I know my limits."
"Ha." Koa let out a mocking laugh and hung up the phone.
Caiden listened to the busy tone on the phone, then put it down.
The screen showed Maeve’s smiling face.
The little girl had two fluffy braids falling on her creamy-white shoulders, pouting cutely, looking absolutely adorable.
So what if he’s overly concerned, he likes it and he’s willing!
"So cute!"
Caiden lowered his head and gave his phone a loud kiss.
Someone knocked on the office door.
"Come in!"
He turned his chair to face the desk.
On the desk was also a photo of Maeve, his favorite, which he took himself.
At the time, the little girl was munching on a chicken leg, trying to talk to him while eating, smiling with her mouth open, waving the chicken leg in the air, almost hitting him in the face.
Not very elegant-looking, but most importantly, incredibly cute, so cute it might kill.
"Boss?!"
George Davis had been talking for a while, seeing Caiden not responding, he helplessly called out.
Caiden then snapped back to reality, nodded earnestly, "Hmm."
Hmm?
George wanted to cry but had no tears and glanced at him.
Hmm what?
Did he hear the entire string of words before or not?
He instinctively looked at the glass frame on the desk, feeling powerless to complain.
What do other bosses have on their desks?
If it’s not a photo with one leader, it’s with another, at worst a family photo, or even a photo of their daughter, but that’s their real daughter.
His boss, however, found himself a little ancestor for no reason and worships her every day.
George smiled, "The little girl is getting cuter and cuter."
Caiden’s pretty eyes lifted, clearly pleased.
George again felt powerless to complain.
He used to think his boss was quite shrewd, always with a smile, never slacking when it came to manipulation, eyes squinting, never revealing his thoughts.
Now, it’s easy to please him.
"Maeve is so good," "Maeve is so great," "Maeve is so cute," "Maeve is getting taller," "Maeve is so beautiful"...
