Chapter 1172: A Grown Man Cannot Be Kept at Home
"Nian Nian is a bad woman, Nian Nian..."The Old Madam still wore a flustered expression, making those who watched her feel a sense of pity.
Though the Old Madam’s behavior today wasn’t entirely genuine, Yu Wanqing’s expression showed that it was probably like this when the Old Madam had her episodes before.
Glancing out of the corner of her eye, noticing someone approaching, Yu Wanqing immediately crouched down, grasping the Old Madam’s hand, looking tense.
"Mom, there’s no Nian Nian, there won’t be anymore, don’t worry! Don’t be anxious, okay?"
"There’s no such person, with Beicheng around, are you still not at ease? Mom, look at me, I’m Wanqing, I’m Wanqing, there’s no such woman."
Yu Wanqing’s expression shifted quickly yet naturally, without any sense of discord.
But she seemed to forget that Qin Yiheng specializes in psychology and is now the youngest and most famous psychologist in Ye City.
"Mom, look at me, I’m Wanqing."
Under Yu Wanqing’s "care," the Old Madam’s condition improved somewhat.
When her eyes regained focus, Yu Wanqing stood up and exhaled lightly.
A figure appeared in her sight, and she immediately glanced over.
"Yiheng, why are you here?" Yu Wanqing looked at Qin Yiheng in surprise.
Qin Yiheng knew that Yu Wanqing had previously tracked his whereabouts, so she shouldn’t be that surprised to see him here.
Looking at the woman before him, thinking of the girl who encouraged him back then, Qin Yiheng felt an inexplicable pain in his heart.
He nodded slightly, stepping closer.
"Beicheng invited me back."
Qin Yiheng approached the Old Madam, a slight smile on his face.
"Old Madam, how are you feeling today?"
"Yi, Yiheng?" The Old Madam glanced up at the person in front of her, frowning slightly.
"What’s wrong? Weren’t you fine yesterday?" Qin Yiheng seemed to sense something amiss.
The Old Madam remained silent, while the two young people watched her.
After some time, her wandering gaze slowly refocused.
"Yiheng, you’re here." The Old Madam said with a smile.
"Hmm." Qin Yiheng nodded in response to the Old Madam’s gaze, then shifted his attention to Yu Wanqing, "Was there something wrong with the Old Madam just now?"
Yu Wanqing’s gaze slightly furrowed as she shook her head.
"It didn’t seem like anything, when I returned, she was here by herself."
"Maybe I was overthinking it." Qin Yiheng withdrew his gaze, "Beicheng is worried that the Old Madam has a heart condition and asked me to come take a look."
"Oh right, why did you come too?"
He looked at the Old Madam, but it was clear his words were directed at Yu Wanqing.
"Last night’s flight, just arrived, I was also worried about Mom. Out of the blue, something changed again." Yu Wanqing looked regretful, her eyes slightly red.
"Elderly people inherently have unstable health, don’t overthink it." Qin Yiheng glanced at Yu Wanqing, then moved to the wheelchair.
"Old Madam, I had nothing this morning, came specifically to accompany you, are you happy?" He pushed the wheelchair, slowly walking forward.
"Of course happy." The Old Madam responded softly, though there was a hint of displeasure in her words.
"Thinking of Seventh again?" Qin Yiheng’s voice asked.
"Not thinking of him, that boy increasingly doesn’t have a place for me in his eyes." The Old Madam said dismissively.
"How could that be? He actually cares a lot about you." Qin Yiheng responded.
"Don’t speak well for him, I understand my son well enough, alas." The Old Madam sighed, "When sons grow up, they can’t be kept home!"
