Chapter 342 Blocked Outside the Village
Chapter 342 Blocked Outside the Village
Seeing this, the employees who were hiding behind Gu Yinshen immediately ran to the front. With their eyes closed, they gritted their teeth and stretched out their hands to block the swinging sticks in front of them.
Gu Yinshen looked at the employee in front of him, his eyes showing surprise.
Before he could think, the stick in front of him was already swinging down, and he reached out and grabbed it tightly in his hand.
The villagers stared at Gu Yinshen in shock.
The more force you swing, the more force your opponent will experience.
"you you……"
Before he could finish speaking, Gu Yinshen grabbed one end of the stick and pulled it outwards, dragging the other end of the stick to the ground.
"Mr. Gu, are you alright?" the employee asked anxiously, snapping out of her daze.
Gu Yinshen waved his hand, looked down at the wooden stick in his hand, and then let go of it, throwing it to the ground.
Seeing Gu Yinshen's imposing aura, the villagers gradually backed away, demanding, "You, what do you want to do!"
Gu Yinshen's gaze bypassed the man's body and went directly to the village behind him.
There are only a few households here, and they are mostly elderly people; the younger ones have all gone out to work.
Gu Yinshen turned his attention back to the villagers. "Don't be nervous. I didn't mean anything by it. I just thought of coming to take a look."
"There's nothing to see here. You're not welcome here. Get out of here!" the villagers urged.
Seeing his heavy guard, Gu Yinshen handed over his business card. "I am the head of the Gu Group. Here is my business card. You don't need to be so nervous. I'm here today for no other reason than to meet with the person in charge of your village."
The villager glanced at the business card in the man's hand, didn't even look at it, and slapped it to the ground. "I'm the person in charge. I don't want to talk to you. Get out of here!"
Gu Yinshen looked at the dusty business card and sighed helplessly.
In his mind, as the person in charge of the entire village, he had to do what a person in charge should do, instead of rejecting anything that could make the village better out of concern.
"Go away, go away, don't stand here anymore. Capitalists like you are not welcome here." The villagers quickly picked up sticks from the ground and made shooing gestures to drive them away.
"President Gu." The employee hesitated before calling out to Gu Yinshen.
Staying any longer won't change anything. I've already seen the situation, so I might as well leave now, make some plans later, and come back.
Gu Yinshen bent down to pick up the business card from the ground, flicked off the dust, and handed it to the villager again, saying, "Don't throw it away yet, you can keep it for now. If you need anything later, you can contact me anytime."
His hand, holding the business card, hovered in mid-air. The villager scoffed and slapped it hard to the ground again, even stepping on it.
Half of the business card was stuck in the soil, while the other side was crumpled and exposed.
"How could you do this!"
"So what? Anything I don't want is garbage!"
As the villagers said these words, their eyes were fixed on Gu Yinshen's face with malice.
"you!"
Gu Yinshen reached out to stop the disgruntled employees. He spoke to the villagers with a humble expression, "I don't know why you are so hostile towards us. But I can assure you that the price offered by the Gu family will be higher than that offered by any other company. You don't need to consider us immediately, but please give us a chance to get to know us."
Despite the repeated excessive actions, Gu Yinshen held no grudge. Instead, he magnanimously took out a new business card from his pocket once again.
This time, the villagers didn't throw the postcards Gu Yinshen handed them on the ground as they had done before, but they also didn't reach out to take them.
Gu Yinshen placed the business card beside him.
Inside the car, the employee looked at Gu Yinshen with curiosity. After waiting for a long time, he couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Gu, will he go and get the business card that's there?"
"Yes," Gu Yinshen said.
Why are you so convinced of this?
"By feeling."
Gu Yinshen turned his gaze to the employee and looked down at the name tag hanging on his chest.
"Zhang Ming?"
Hearing the call, Zhang Ming immediately straightened his back and answered loudly, "Here!"
"When did you come to the Gu Group?" Gu Yinshen asked.
Zhang Ming's mind raced as he recalled the time he first joined the company and made his own guesses.
“It’s been eight years.” Zhang Ming replied, then nervously observed the expression on Gu Yinshen’s face.
Was he not good enough just now, so they decided to fire him?
Thinking of this, Zhang Ming's hands, gripping the seatbelt tightly, broke out in a cold sweat.
What do you think of the Gu family?
“Very…very good! I have learned a lot at Gu’s and realized my life’s value here.”
Hearing his declaration, Gu Yinshen reassured him, "Don't be nervous, and don't overthink things."
"Mr. Gu, may I ask something?"
"Ah."
Faced with this sudden question, Zhang Ming nervously spoke again, "W-Was it because I didn't perform well just now? Are you asking these questions to fire me?"
The moment Gu Yinshen saw cold sweat break out on his forehead, he guessed what was on his mind.
"No," Gu Yinshen said. "Don't overthink it. I'm asking you because I have other plans. As for your idea of being fired, it's not a big problem. Why would I fire you?"
Zhang Ming's heart calmed down instantly. His tense body also relaxed, no longer tense.
Seeing that Gu Yinshen's gaze was fixed on him, he awkwardly raised his arm and scratched his hair. "I just thought you thought I had handled this matter in the southern suburbs very poorly, so you wanted to fire me."
"Why do you feel that you have done a poor job?" Gu Yinshen asked in return.
They went to the southern suburbs, but were stopped before they even entered the village. The other side was adamant and wouldn't give them a chance to go in, so it wasn't his fault.
"I...I couldn't even get you into the village, Mr. Gu," Zhang Ming explained, head drooping.
If he is tactful enough, he might be able to persuade a man to let go of his hostility by saying something nice or doing something else when the man is adamant.
But he accomplished nothing; instead, he stood there like a clueless fool, leaving everything up to Gu Yinshen to do and say.
If he were a company leader, the first thing he would do upon returning would be to fire him; the company certainly wouldn't keep such a useless person.
Unable to understand his misunderstanding, Gu Yinshen said, "You are fully responsible for the project in the southern suburbs. I have faith in your abilities."
The first sentence put immense pressure on Zhang Ming, while the second sentence surprised him so much that he couldn't believe his ears.
