Chapter 1004 - 1004: The Number You Have Dialed Is Not in Service
Turning his head, Mason Nightshade's profile was calm, his breathing steady. It was unclear if he was asleep or awake. On a whim, Aurelia Shaw reached out her hand.
As her fingertips barely touched Mason's long eyelashes, those eyes suddenly opened. Startled, Aurelia's hand trembled, and her fingertip poked Mason's eyebrow.
Uh...
"..."
"..."
The two stared at each other in silence.
"Ahem! I thought you were asleep." Aurelia awkwardly withdrew her hand, suddenly feeling a guilty conscience.
Mason looked at her teasingly and replied with a casual "Hmm."
He was indeed very tired.
Last night, he barely got any sleep.
But he wasn't asleep yet.
He had awakened the moment she stopped and her breath approached.
He just wanted to see what she was trying to do.
Who knew...
"My eyes are beautiful?" Mason's tone was still teasing.
How could Aurelia not realize he was teasing her? Without a change in expression, she said, "Hmm, a bit longer than others."
Mason's face darkened.
Others? Who could this "others" be? Viscount Zhou? Or Caspian Parker? Or some other man?
Mason felt like asking this question was just self-inflicting misery!
"You and Balthazar Shaw..." Aurelia just opened her mouth, when the car stopped, and Gustavo Yates said, "Boss, we're here."
Aurelia: "..."
She knew that as soon as she opened her mouth, something would happen.
There was no choice but to put it aside.
Together with Mason, they took the private elevator to the filming floor. The elevator stopped.
Aurelia hesitated for a moment, then turned back to Mason and asked, "Um... can we have lunch together?"
Mason looked at her, "I don't know how long the meeting will last, I'll call you, what's your phone number..."
Mason took out his phone and asked, seemingly casually.
His previous phone card was from Country Z, and upon arriving here, he had replaced it with a new one within a few days.
When Mason dialed a disconnected number, his face turned dark. He almost tore the hospital apart while he was hospitalized.
Fortunately, the hospital director invited the president, and that prestigious hospital in Capital City was spared.
"15xxxxx..." Aurelia recited her number.
After noting it down, Mason put his phone back into his pants pocket.
They went to the top floor.
…
Sawyer didn't know she came. Today's schedule involved other roles, so Aurelia thought it would be good to go on set and have a look.
The actors would eventually have to face everything in the entertainment circle themselves, and under her guidance, their acting skills had to be exquisite.
Aurelia arrived at the set, where Sawyer was focused on directing a scene and didn't notice her arrival.
However, Amanda Fuller saw her and quickly pulled over a chair, "Why did you come today? Didn't you say you wouldn't be coming?"
"Just passing by, thought I'd take a look." Aurelia sat down on the chair.
Just passing by...
Amanda caught onto those words, grinning mischievously, "Who did you pass by with? Mr. Nightshade? Where is Mr. Nightshade? Why don't I see him?"
"Your heartthrob is currently upstairs doing business. If you're dying to see him, you can head to the top floor," Aurelia said with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Amanda became dispirited. The top floor was occupied by wealthy individuals she had seen around her brother, each more shrewd than the previous. She really didn't want to mingle with them; they could see through her in an instant.
Aurelia quietly watched the filming. When she fell silent, a sharp aura would inadvertently emanate from her, not feeling dangerous, yet impossible to ignore.
Until her sight was blocked by a shadow.
She looked up and saw a handsome, deep-featured Western man's face.
Aurelia narrowed her eyes, feeling this person looked familiar.
